Discover Choice

October is one of my favorite months.  When I took my daughter to school this morning, the air was a crisp, cool 44 degrees, but by afternoon it was 77 degrees with blue skies.

I love decorating for Fall, and from my porch I can see the leaves changing color on the mountain.  Beautiful!

This month's focus is Discover Choice.  I think that one of the fundamental elements of success and happiness is the discovery that we choose what our lives are going to be about every day.

Our company is called The Success Choice because we believe that success, and ultimately joy, are a result of our choices, and that we are in control of our happiness.

Every day we are faced with choices that can take us toward or away from what we ultimately want.

Are you aware that your choices reveal who you are and what is important to you?  You can  state what you value, but if your actions don't reflect them then it simply isn't true.

For a long time I claimed I wanted to lose 10 pounds, but I was still eating the same things and doing the same things.  It wasn't until I made better choices on a daily basis that I started to lose weight.  When I was willing to cut down on refined sugar and flour, eat healthier meals, and implement exercising in the morning,  I succeeded.  I didn't fully value losing weight until I was ready to commit to choose different actions.

This month I challenge you to be more aware of your choices and the results you are getting.  Especially be aware of the thoughts you choose to harbor.

In As a Man Thinketh, James Allen says: "A particular train of thought persisted in, be it good or bad, cannot fail to produce its results on the character and circumstances.  A man cannot directly choose his circumstances, but he can choose his thoughts, and so indirectly, yet surely, shape his circumstances."

Discover Choice.

Are you giving your power to someone (or something) else?

Are you taking from others their power to choose?

Remember that YOU receive the benefits and the consequences of your choices.

Claim you power.  Choose wisely.
