Banana Bread
Have your banana's gotten a bit over ripe? Don't throw them away, over ripe bananas are perfect for this flavorful banana bread.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup mashed bananas
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 cups flour
- 1-1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Add bananas, milk, and lemon juice.
- Sift dry ingredients and add. Add nuts if desired.
- Pour mixture into a well greased 8x4x3 inch loaf pan.
- Bake for one hour.
- Serve warm.
- We love to spread butter on a slice and eat when it has melted into the slice. So yummy.
